Charlotte delivers free bread!

Charlotte came by while Fisher and I were working on my boat (well, really drinking, with some work stuff lying about) and offered us free bread. She lives on J dock and works at Tall Grass Bakery. Super good bread. Thanks Charlotte!

I have no idea why this came out black and white (I’m super smart that way with the zillion settings on my camera) but, I like it, the bike and the retro sun glasses seem to work.

Hello World renaming party

Jason and Christy threw a very good renaming party last night over on J dock aboard Hello World. Of course, we might have drank too much.

All pics from the party up here.

Community Shop Space

… well “Community” if you pay :)

Some of us at Shilshole (Ben, Fisher, Christy, Jason, K**, Les, Jane, etc.) have been discussing community spaces.  Our first such space was found by Fisher (you rock man!) over on 14th and 45th in the fun industrial section of Ballard/Ship-canal.  We’re planning on setting up some basic workshop stuff (sewing, woodworking, etc) and hanging “for cruising only” sails from the ceiling.  It’s cheap at $330.  We’ll be having a party in the not too distant future if you want to check it out.

Other ideas were a co-op owned store in the new building at Shilshole and maybe a group hangout spot above the flower market (opening soon) next to the new Paseo place (across from Westmarine).  If anyone reading this blog is interested in discussing any of this let us know.

Some pics…
